Part I: Boy Goes West
In my last letter (linked here - don’t miss the video at the top) I told you about how I found my voice on the road.
The story continues with Boy.
Boy travels the country working motorcycle rallies as a carnie. He sings and plays guitar for the other carnies.
Boy dreams of living on a sailboat where the sun always shines. He saves his money, eating canned tuna for lunch and peanut butter sandwiches for dinner. He learns how to sail in his time off. He waits. It’s only a matter of time until he can make his dream a reality.
A virus spreads across the globe and shuts it down. Boy loses his job (and his audience with it).
There is no telling what’s going to happen, but he doesn’t want to sit around to find out. Especially in the same old town he’s been in his whole life.
Boy decides to live a life he won’t forget.
He packs a bag and goes West. He has no idea what lays ahead on the highways of tomorrow. But he trusts everything will be alright.
Boy bursts out into the unknown. And he’s feelin’ fine.
